Hi.
My name is Hollie and I am Asexual.
I identify with asexual but I am more a demi-romantic.
Demi-romatic asexuals are really the threshold between asexuality and non-asexuality- the ”grey” area.
To be honest with you I prefer to be called an asexual since I relate greatly to the beliefs an asexual will feel and experience.
But that is beside the point.
As a demi-romantic I feel no sexual attraction to anyone without a deep, emotional connection before hand. To me personality’s are more important than looks and that (here it comes) sex isn’t an important part of a relationship.
I also personally hate physical contact which (I am afraid) includes hugs… sorry.
I guess I am writing this because I feel like I have to always explain myself to people about why I have made this choice in life.
This explination may seem simple but to be fair I can’t type all my reasons as to why I am demi-romantic for I have not to know the words to type down.
If you are reading this then I must say something:
THANK YOU :)
You may be reading this purely because you wanted to know or you may be reading this and (perhaps) thinking that you understand my situation.
If this is the case then I am happy to help with whatever query you have about being Asexual and since I fully support all Asexual rights I will help no-matter what.
But I would like to point out that I am not an expert in this field and are also open to helpful suggestions as to what I could be doing better.
